GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
TIMING: Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost date OR direct sow outdoors after risk of frost has passed. Harden off seedlings before transplanting outdoors, after last frost.
GERMINATION: 10-14 days. Keep soil moist until germination.
SEEDING: Sow seeds 1/8” deep. Space plants 12” apart.
GROWING: Full sun, well-draining and nutrient-rich soil. Plants can benefit from light support. Its important to rotate asters to a new spot every year, this will help prevent disease. They prefer growing in a spot sheltered from strong winds.
HARVESTING: For cut flowers, pick stems as blooms are mostly open—long lasting in a vase.
